Web services and SOA
Go directly to the technical information on our experience in Web services and Service Oriented Architecture.
Implementation of web services enables software applications written in various programming languages and to run on various platforms to exchange data over computer networks (e.g. Internet) in a manner similar to inter-process communication on a single computer. Web services and service-oriented architecture are right for organizing data flow between different systems, including legacy systems; and for web development (portals, corporate IT systems’ interfaces, etc.). Transfer of existing applications to service-oriented architecture solves many issues, such as:
- Scalability and reuse of code, because systems are implemented in modules and subsystems interfaces’ are open
- Performance bottlenecks, because of independent and asynchronous work of subsystems. It often becomes an important criteria for applications, that work with large information content, proceed great numbers of transactions
- Integration of different applications and arrangement of data flows inside the company, as web services provide open interface to existing (often, out-of-date, but irreplaceable) systems
Upon your needs Fortess offers:
- Web services development from the scratch or on the basis of customer’s specifications
- Collecting and analyzing of requirements, system design
- SOA-enabling existing applications and modification of existing web services
- Independent testing
- Web services development tools implementation, etc.
